Thursday 23rd May 2019 to Tuesday 28th May 2019

Immerse yourself in the peace, tranquillity and outstanding natural beauty of the Norwegian fjords. With coach from Norwich, your 5-night foray into the fjords will begin with an unforgettable cruise along the glassy waters of the spectacular Lysefjord, a feat made possible by your ship’s smaller size. Be on the lookout for the unmistakeable Pulpit Rock – a flat-topped cliff with a 604-metre plummet into the fjord below – and the fascinating Kjerag Boulder, which is intriguingly wedged in a mountain crevice high above the water’s edge. A full day in beautiful Bergen allows time to explore the UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf and admire the colourful timber structures; experience the hustle and bustle of the busy market; or perhaps see several of Edvard Munch’s works at the superb galleries and museums.

Don’t miss the fantastic views on offer from the Mount Fløyen viewpoint, which can be reached via the funicular railway. In Eidfjord an abundance of unforgettable experiences await you, including the chance to kayak on the still waters of Hardangerfjord – a unique way to take in the dramatic scenery of Norway’s second longest fjord – or join a tour to the breathtaking Vøringfoss Waterfall. For an authentic cultural experience, take a trip to Hardangervidda Nature Centre or visit the Hardanger Juice and Cider Factory to sample some delicious local treats. From Eidfjord you will then sail along the Hardangerfjord and see towering mountains, shimmering waterfalls, magical glaciers and idyllic orchards up-close; before diverting into Maurangerfjord to catch a glimpse of the cascading Furebergfossen Waterfall – the perfect end to your time in the fjords.
