BAFTA nominated Call the Midwife is back for a 9th season and so are the Call the Midwife Official Location tours at The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
If you’re a fan of the hit series, a trip to see where Call the Midwife is filmed should be top of your bucket list.
Walk in the footsteps of Nurse Trixie Franklin, Sister Julienne and Dr Turner and explore where the real drama happens. The walking tour is led by your very own costumed midwife. Along the tour you’ll recognise the cobbled streets and buildings of ‘Poplar’ plus iconic locations such as the Grosvenor Hotel and ‘Chummy’s Hill’, where Nurse Noakes famously learnt to ride her bike. With a picture book to help trigger your memories, you’ll see just how Neal Street Productions transform 400 year old Chatham dockyard into to 1950’s East London. The tour culminates with our exclusive Call the Midwife exhibition containing set, props and costumes.

Released as a concept album in 1969, the stage version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has become one of the worlds most beloved family musicals. The multi-award winning show, which began life as a small scale school concert, has been performed hundreds of thousands of times including multiple runs in the West End and on Broadway, international number one tours, and productions in over 80 countries as far afield as Austria and Zimbabwe and from Israel to Peru! The show features songs that have gone on to become pop and musical theatre standards, including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door To Me, Jacob and Sons, There’s One More Angel In Heaven and Go, Go, Go, Joseph.
Told entirely through song with the help of the Narrator, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat follows the story of Jacob’s favourite son Joseph and his eleven brothers. After being sold into slavery by the brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled showman, the Pharaoh. As Joseph strives to resolve Egypt’s famine, he becomes Pharaoh’s right-hand man and eventually reunites with his family.

War of the Worlds – Live Tour – Saturday 9th April 2022- Coach trip from Norwich

Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds is to tour the UK in 2021. Based on HG Wells’ novel of the same name, the production was first staged 15 years ago and has been shown to millions over the world. The show last toured the UK back in 2018 and next year, Jeff Wayne returns to conduct the Black Smoke Band, and Liam Neeson reprises his 3D hologram role as The Journalist.
New features for the 2021 tour include the giant arched bridge now running from the lip of the stage out over the audience to the front of house desk, three panoramic screens with two hours of cutting edge CGI and other content.
