Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – The Musical – Wednesday 4th August 2021 – Coach trip from Norwich

London Palladium

Following a triumphant sold out season this year, we are thrilled to announce that the new, smash hit production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will return to the iconic London Palladium for a strictly limited season of just 77 performances in summer 2021.
Released as a concept album in 1969, the stage version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has become one of the worlds most beloved family musicals. The multi-award winning show, which began life as a small scale school concert, has been performed hundreds of thousands of times including multiple runs in the West End and on Broadway, international number one tours, and productions in over 80 countries as far afield as Austria and Zimbabwe and from Israel to Peru! The show features songs that have gone on to become pop and musical theatre standards, including Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door To Me, Jacob and Sons, There’s One More Angel In Heaven and Go, Go, Go, Joseph.

Told entirely through song with the help of the Narrator, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat follows the story of Jacob’s favourite son Joseph and his eleven brothers. After being sold into slavery by the brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled showman, the Pharaoh. As Joseph strives to resolve Egypt’s famine, he becomes Pharaoh’s right-hand man and eventually reunites with his family.

ITV Daytime Studios Tour – White City – Monday 19th October 2020 – Coach trip from Norwich

Monday 19th October 2020 – White City

ITV’s exciting behind-the-scenes guided tour around the iconic studio sets at Television Centre in London is here, guaranteeing a truly unique and unforgettable television experience.

With ITV Daytime favourites Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women all broadcasting from the same building, the ITV Daytime Studios Tour will immerse fans into the glamorous showbiz world. Guests will be able to explore sets, get a sneak peek of what lies behind and discover how the shows are brought to life and onto their screens.

As one of the busiest working studios in the UK producing over 2000 hours of much talked about TV a year, guests will have unprecedented access into production and the day-to-day operations of a live studio with stories and filming insights from the studio floors shared with them along the way.

With the promise of plenty of picture and selfie opportunities on the well-loved and instantly recognisable sets, a wander down the production corridors where the green rooms, wardrobe departments, make-up areas and production offices are housed, as well as walking amongst industry producers and crew, each tour will be full of TV magic.

As the studios are in constant use during the week, limited tours will run throughout 2020 in-between the live broadcasts of their shows. Whilst they will always aim to showcase at least three working studios during your tour, there may be times where we need to change the tour content and route, meaning that no two tours are ever the same.

Join us to experience the Wizarding World as we return again to the Studio Tour.

Discover how filmmakers created snow that never melts and flames without fire as you get hands on with the different types of filmmaking ‘snow’, each selected for its ability to float like falling snow, crunch under foot or glisten in the light like ice. As you make your way around the Studio Tour, look out for the ‘lit’ fireplaces and discover how fire was created on-screen by the Special Effects team using a combination of water vapour and lighting effects.

The team behind Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter wanted to preserve and showcase these iconic props, costumes and sets so that Harry Potter fans could experience the magic of filmmaking first-hand. Many of the original cast and crew returned to reassemble the sets and record their memories from filming, and on 31st March 2012, the Studio Tour opened its doors.

Set adjacent to the working film studios where all eight Harry Potter films were made, the Studio Tour offers visitors the unique opportunity to explore two soundstages and a backlot filled with original sets, animatronic creatures and breathtaking special effects.

Gringotts Wizarding Bank recently arrived at The Warner Bros. Studios. Don’t miss the chance to see this eagerly anticipated 16,500sqft addition!

The new exhibition has been designed by the same Oscar winning artists who worked on the smash hit film series, so guests can expect a truly magical experience including towering marble pillars, crystal chandeliers and breath-taking prosthetics that will leave both adults and children spellbound.

Melton Mowbray Pork Pies , Lunch & Rutland Water – Coach trip from Norwich – Thursday 17th September 2020

A perfect blend of classic British baking and relaxation on the beautiful Rutland Water in the East Midlands.

Dickinson & Morris has been baking Melton Mowbray Pork Pies since 1851 and are the oldest remaining bakers of the authentic Pork Pie in the town today. The Melton Mowbray Pork Pie now has PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) status. This means it has to be made within a certain geographical location and be baked using only the finest fresh, uncured pork. It must also have a classic rounded, slightly bow-walled appearance.

Your group will watch a personal demonstration of ‘hand raising’ a pork pie and discover how Melton Mowbray became so famous for pork pies. You will also discover the fascinating link between Stilton Cheese, Melton Mowbray and Pork Pies.

After building up an appetite sampling the wares, make your way to Oakham, a short 20 minute drive away, for your 2 course lunch, prior to your Rutland Water cruise.   You will board the Rutland Belle at Whitwell and depart on a 45 minute cruise around Rutland Water, amidst the sailors, anglers and waterbirds, whilst listening to a commentary highlighting points of interest.

There is a covered, all-weather, saloon area on the lower deck and an upper exposed deck to enjoy. Drinks/tea & coffee are available to buy in the licensed aft saloon.
