Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is the vision of TV Presenter Jimmy Doherty and his wife Michaela and has taken years of dedication and hard work to achieve their dream.
Jimmy hasn't looked back since and Jimmy's Farm now has an award winning restaurant, wildlife park, butterfly + reptile house and holds numerous weddings and events throughout the year.
Jimmy has always been passionate about nature and farming and by the time he was 16, he was the youngest ever Assistant Entomologist at the Mole Hall Wildlife Park near Saffron Walden. After gaining a degree in Zoology, Jimmy worked at the Entomology Department at London's Natural History Museum before moving on to Coventry University where he researched for a Doctorate in Entomology, set up an insect laboratory and taught Animal Ecology and Animal Philosophy to undergraduate students.
If you followed the TV documentary you would see saw them turn a derelict farm into a thriving business. Now you can witness the changes for yourself with a visit to Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park! Refreshments of your choice will be served in our converted 200-year old The Barn Restaurant & Coffee House, which offers breakfasts, brunches, snacks, afternoon teas and delicious meals. Explore the beautiful gardens and visit the Farm & Wildlife Park. Take the Outback Safari; check out the Reptile House; feed & pet the animals with Animal Encounters or go into animal enclosures with a park ranger on the Close Encounters tour.
If you thought there was just farm animals there, think again! Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park is proud to be home to an increasingly diverse selection of animals, reptiles, and birds.
For those of you who like a little retail therapy, you will have the opportunity to visit the extensively stocked Farm Shop and Butchery, specialising in locally sourced and produced goods, rare breed meats, cheeses and pastries. The Joules Clothing Store, The Potting Shed garden centre and Clarkes are welcome additions to the farm.
