Thursday 1st October
The trip combines a visit to the Lincoln International Bomber Command centre - a memorial centre created to acknowledge and remember Bomber Command where the aircrews were mainly volunteers during the second World War and also suffered the biggest losses. Here you can walk around the Spire memorial and the Chadwick visitor centre with interactive displays to tell the story of Bomber Command. There is also a cafe on site. We then spend time in the lovely city of Lincoln before returning home.
